Danni
Hello, I’m Danni, I am a fully qualified Integrative Counsellor and a registered member of the BACP, working within their Ethical Framework. I work with adults on an individual basis.
Working integratively means I draw on a range of approaches rather than fitting you into a single model. My style is practical and solution focused. You might want to talk something through and gain a fresh perspective, or you might be after something more concrete to work on, such as changing how you respond to what happens around you. Often, meaningful change begins with acceptance. I like to work collaboratively on actionable tools and techniques that help you move forward, drawing in particular on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing.
I offer a confidential, warm and non-judgemental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly.
I have a particular interest in compulsive behaviours, whether that is something you have simply noticed in yourself, such as endless scrolling, online shopping or gaming, or something that has come to be recognised as an addiction. I also work with those affected by someone else's addiction, whose lives are often deeply impacted too. My understanding of this area is grounded in both professional and personal experience of addiction, alongside my work for a charity that specialises in addiction support. Whatever you bring, I aim to meet it without judgement and at whatever stage feels right for you.
I am passionate about continued learning in all aspects of my practice, so that the support I offer stays current, evidence-based and genuinely useful to the people I work with.
