Graham

Hello, my name is Graham and I’m a qualified counsellor with a Diploma in Humanistic Counselling. I am a member of BACP and work to their Code of Professional Ethics. I trained as a humanistic counsellor in 2012. Since then, my counselling experience has been in youth and student counselling as well as, with adults in private practise.

Although, humanistically trained, I work integratively with clients. This means I will use various approaches and strategies to enable clients to achieve what they want from counselling. I adopt a collaborative stance in my work which supports individuals to resolve the issues in their lives. I’m a passionate advocate of life-long learning and view counselling as a way of making the most of our lived experience.

I have extensive experience of working with young people as a professionally qualified Youth Worker and have had the privilege to support many teenagers through the successes and tribulations of adolescence. I also have significant experience of working with men, supporting them resolve their issues.

I bring an open, honest and non-judgemental approach to my work. As a counsellor, I welcome the opportunity to support individuals to achieve the changes they wish to make in their lives.

I spend my leisure time walking in nature, reading and practising Tai Chi.
