Tracey
Hello, I’m Tracey and a qualified counsellor with a Diploma in Integrative counselling and a full registered member of the BACP (MBACP) working to their codes of professional ethics.
My counselling experience has covered children, young people, and their families, as well as adults of all ages. The work with children and young people has taken me into primary and secondary education as a therapeutic counsellor for Place2Be and Your Space Therapies, private practice, and Lanes.
Working with adults, this has been through agencies as a volunteer as well as my own private practice and at Lanes, aiming to help you understand your own unique situation and experiences and support your autonomy for change where it is needed and wanted.
Because we are all unique, I feel using different approaches can benefit your counselling journey including person centred which I believe is at the centre of the work, I also enjoy working creatively when this is something that you also choose.
As we work together on your journey, you can choose yourself how long you want your journey to be, as well as choosing how you would like to work together, including online platforms, phone, and face to face in the comfortable and confidential setting at Lanes.
I offer a gentle approach with an honest non-judgemental space. I believe this enables the therapy relationship to develop at the pace to suit you with what you feel able to explore supporting you to understand yourself and your world.
My working career over 30 years has been across different aspects of family life, young children, young people, and adults, this has been in pre-school settings, primary schools and SEN schools. Across this time, I have gained additional experience and knowledge within neuro divergence and disability not just in children but across all ages and how this affects our mental health.
On a personal level, I enjoy flora and fauna and obtain ‘peace’ from the environment, this can be walking, experiencing new environments as well as my enjoyment of photography and art.
